Teacher Professional Biography: Ms. Shaw is a graduate of University of North Florida with a B.A. in Special Education, and holds a Masters in Education from Southern Wesleyan University. Ms. Shaw has taught Special Education for 18 years and is the Fairwold 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year. Her hobbies include reading, camping/hiking, writing, traveling, and volunteering for Disaster Relief with the SC Baptist Convention. She has a lab/chow named Missy.
Her philosophy about teaching is "If a child does not learn the way I teach, then I will teach in the way that child will learn".
