Bear Bucks Cafe

Located in the media center of Pendergrass Fairwold, The Bear Bucks Café is a coffee/snack café run by the students.  The café proudly serves coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as water, Gatorade and soda. The café also features chips, candy, and pastries.

The Bear Bucks Café is a school-based program aimed at teaching students real life skills and the value of a dollar.  Cheerful students greet the customers in between filling and delivering orders and then going back to class. 

The café is currently open to faculty, staff, and students at Pendergrass Fairwold.  They have customers coming back for more.  The café has a lot to offer, but unlike many cafes, in this café there are many lessons learned that are invaluable.  Students are exposed to many opportunities and can benefit from things like building self-esteem and self-confidence.  Building on that alone can open so many doors for them.  Here at the Bear Bucks Café there’s a lifetime of lessons learned.

It truly is a place of fellowship for students and faculty to gather, break bread and enjoy each other’s company. The atmosphere is perfect for the mid-afternoon break.

Here at Pendergrass Fairwold we believe that everyone has the ability to be a contributing member of society.  The goal is to empower students with job training to help them lead fulfilling lives within our community and to increase awareness of their potential.
